We may soon see not only the first NFL player to come out as gay, but the first four players. Following news last week that a gay NFL player is considering coming out of the closet in the next few months, recently cut Baltimore Ravens linebacker and outspoken LGBT advocate Brendon Ayanbadejo revealed that four gay players may come out together, both to “make a bigger splash and take the pressure off one guy.” It remains to be seen when—and if—this will actually happen, but Ayanbadejo insists that “it will happen sooner than you think.”
