The U.S. economy added just 165,000 jobs in April, which caused the unemployment rate to fall to a four-year low of 7.5 percent. March's numbers were readjusted, with 50,000 more jobs added than previously reported, meaning that 138,000 jobs were added that month. Economists warned, though, that that doesn’t help improve the sluggish track the economy has been on. The first two months of the year saw an average of 200,000 jobs added, although growth cooled in March.
