Richard Kiel, the towering actor who played the villain Jaws in a pair of James Bond films, has died at age 74, TMZ reports. The actor had been in hospital after breaking his leg last week, a family member told TMZ. Kiel, who was 7-foot-2, played bad guys as far back as such TV shows as The Man From Uncle and The Wild, Wild West, but it was his role as the hulking assassin with steel-capped teeth in the Bond movies The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker that catapulted him to the top rank of movie villains. Both films starred Roger Moore as the British superspy. The teeth Kiel wore were said to be very uncomfortable, and could only be worn for about 35 seconds at a time.
