The 10/17/24 update basically broke the app. When you open it, it says no network connection. When you click Retry repeatedly, it can't find the network. When you click the offline option the stories are days old. I am a subscriber, but the web version can't figure that out, so I cannot read the latest stories any more. Please fix whatever you broke in the latest app update. I no longer have access to what was one of my favorite sources of news. I am considering cancelling my subscription.

Needs updates. It takes me to the landing page for subscribing whenever i click on an notification about an article even though i have an active subscription. If i close that Chrome window then open the app i get to read the article. Today though i was in the middle of reading and the text disappeared. It looked like it was trying to load the homepage even though I didn't press anything.

The app is perfectly fine, but I'm going to let my subscription expire. The DB occasionally has some great scoops, but this is offset by bad articles: a bizarre fixation on the royal family, consistently poor movie and TV reviews, bonkers product reviews (which have started to incorporate star signs, as if the 1970's had come back to haunt us), and an odd focus on the adult film industry. The overall tone is that of a particularly strident (and poorly edited) college newspaper.
