I have just finished mopping up the puddle of tears on my apartment floor after watching the hot new Netflix rom-com Voicemails for Isabelle, which has already earned a reputation as the movie that makes everyone who watches uncontrollably sob. Madonna gave a rare, very (very) long, in-depth interview and, as is her way, was candid about everything she was asked, including the planned biopic of herself that she was working on, which was unceremoniously scrapped. She revealed that she and Universal came to a head over budget, so she walked away. That’s where we’re at right now. Arguably the most iconic pop star alive can’t get money to make a film about her life.
Lastly, I kept seeing headlines about a question Jason Bateman asked Will Arnett on their Smartless podcast about his marriage to Amy Poehler that Arnett refused to answer. I finally relented and clicked to find out what the question was. I was not prepared.
